Stop #1 on our ultimate Southern Summer Road Trip was Williamsburg, VA. One of the cutest, quaintest towns I have ever visited. Situated right in the middle of the town is the William & Mary University which is made up of beautiful, historic buildings and gorgeous, tree-lines walkways.
**The top I am wearing is from a store called Romwe. I decided to give it a try because of its insanely affordable pieces and was happily surprised! Check out this top here or other similar shirts below.
Williamsburg felt a little like a college town/retirement community. I am sure it is totally different during the school year, but this time of year had a number of older couples visiting.
The downtown area has adorable brick streets and a number of cute boutiques and cafes/coffee shops. Our favorite was Aromas. Genevieve took a sip of coffee for the first time. You can pretty much tell how she felt about it from the pictures.
There is also a section of the town, near the old church, where a little old-fashioned market is set up and reenactments take place. We didn’t do this, but they also offer horse-drawn carriage rides through town.
How cute are these?!
Surrounding the town are homes featuring amazing architecture and beautiful accents. Michael & I fell in love with the houses and decided to enroll Genevieve at Willaim & Mary so we can move there (that’s how college works, right?)
