Happy Friyay everyone! Today I am sharing an outfit featuring my embroidered statement jacket that has been on repeat quite a bit lately. Embroidery was a huge trend for Summer and has continued to be through Fall and Winter. It can add a feminine aspect to any outfit and serve as the focal point of your outfit. I also talk about embroidered jackets in this post and this post.
As a mother to a crawling (eep!) baby I am constantly chasing her and bending down to pick her up. And as much I love embroidered blazers and jackets, they can sometimes feel stiff and make it hard to move- which just won’t work for me or Genevieve. But this jacket is a whole other store. It lightweight and so easy to move in. Plus it has beautiful bright stitching so it’s easy to pair with all neutrals like I did, and work as my statement piece. If anyone ever says you have to give up comfort for style, ignore them. My MO is always comfort and movability first and style second.
I paired this beautiful jacket with my favorite black jeans, which are also super stretchy and conducive to chasing babies. My feet are decked out in these simple black suede booties with a small 2-inch heel. I love wearing heels, but it’s not always practical as a mother, which is why these are perfect for my lifestyle. They are so easy to walk in and incredibly comfortable.
I kept accessories to a minimum to let the jacket do all the talking. My bag is the same one from this post. It’s a beautiful cognac structured tote with pink and gold suede on the side in a fish scale type of pattern.
